The cremation cost of a basic package has required services and fees for standard cremations with or without services. These packages have a cardboard cremation container for transportation and cremation of human remains with a temporary container included in the price.

The above cremation cost is inclusive of all services if the death occurs locally (within a 20 mile radius of Bangor) in a healthcare facility that allows one person to make the initial transfer from the place of passing. The actual cremation would take place during a weekday at our convenience assuming that all the required paperwork has been completed. It also reflects that the deceased can be placed in a standard sized container. If the death occurs outside our local area we use the U. S. Postal Service to procure paperwork which may take an extended period of time before the cremation is scheduled.

Third party expenses are not included in the above price such as clergy, musician, obituary notice, cemetery fees, certified copies of the death certificate, and other expenses.

Extra Fees

Simple Cremation of Maine offers a different option than a traditional funeral home for the many families in today's society who would like to do things themselves. Their desire is to have a service provider, such as Memorial Alternatives, complete the cremation process and for them to plan their own services. Our intention is to provide dignified services at a reduced cost to those who wish to have cremation or burial with a minimum of ceremony.

The additional service offerings are normally provided when using a traditional funeral home, but are available through Simple Cremation of Maine for an additional cost.
