Bangor Maine - William H. “Bill” Cody, 74, lifelong resident of Augusta, Maine passed away
May 11, 2024, at a local healthcare facility. Bill, Billy, Billy boy, was born January 4, 1950
in Augusta, the son of Maurice L. and Lucienne M. (Betit) Cody.
Bill attended Saint Mary's Catholic Grammar School and went to Cony High school.
After graduating, he served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972.
In 1972, he returned home to Augusta and continued his education to obtain Two AA degrees, one in Business and one in Accounting. Bill soon met his bride-to-be, Elizabeth, and on June 11, 1987 they welcomed the arrival of their first child, a beautiful daughter named Christina L Cody. Two years later, Elizabeth was joyful and blessed with a second child, a son, William H Cody born Nov17,1989.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister, Marlene (Cody) Gallant of Mexico Maine and brother, Robert L Cody of Freedom Maine. He is survived by his eldest brother, Norman Cody; three sisters, Patricia “Pat” Miner, Jacqueline “Jackie” Beckim, Jeanine Jacques, of Melbourne PQ, Canada and his youngest brother, Michael J Cody of Tampa FL.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Maine Veterans Homes for their extraordinary care and attention.
