Gorham – William (Bill) R. Bunnell, Jr., 65, passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at a local hospital. Bill was born December 30, 1948, in Fort Fairfield, the son of William and Natalie (Parker) Bunnell.
Bill grew up in Caribou, and then he graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, class of 1967. He attended Unity College where he received a Forestry degree, later finding his passion in surveying, drawing up blueprints, and estimating for various construction projects.
Bill loved spending time at the family camp at Cross Lake where he could enjoy being out in the canoe fishing on the lakes, and hunting in the woods. He enjoyed watching drag racing, and had a passion for classic cars. He will always be remembered for his unconditional love and compassion for his family and everyone around him.
Bill is survived by his son, Bradford Bunnell and wife Shandee of Fairbanks, AK; his “little girl” Hanna Bunnell and her significant other Matt Walton of Eddington; step-daughter Lindsay Culberson and fiancée Tyler Graves of Standish; step-daughter Abby Culberson of Portland; and adored grandchildren Keegan, Chandler, Chase, and Brandon; great grandson Kaleb; brother Brent Bunnell and wife Cindy of Maryville, TN; sister Danna Fields and husband Alan of Lake Wales, FL; special nieces Morgan Fields and Jessica Bunnell; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Bill’s long time friend Freddy Ayotte. In addition to his parents Bill is now resting peacefully with his beloved wife Vickie.
