KENDUSKEAG - William James Bond passed away at the age of 53 with his family by his side on February 11, 2019 at a Bangor hospital.
Bill has been a resident of Kenduskeag with his wife and family for fourteen years.
He was born April 27, 1965 in Evansville, Indiana and shared the same birth date as his father, the original James Bond. He moved back to his mother’s original place of birth in Maine in 1978 where he lived the remainder of his days. He attended school in Brewer, graduating in 1983 from Brewer High School. He enjoyed golfing, going to the truck pulls, the race track, drag racing, rebuilding cars, attending and entering car shows with his prized 1978 Mustang “Cobra 7.” He spent eleven years working at Canteen installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and electrical. He also enjoyed working at Bangor International Airport but his passion has always been working on cars since he was in his teens. So it is no surprise he became a mechanic, working every day at what he loved. He and Susan married February 19, 2005.
In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by his children through marriage, Tonya and (son-in-law) David Peluso, Courtney Burnside, Brenna Burnside, Joey DesRoches; and four grandchildren. His father, James Bond; mother, Sharon Jones Allen; his loving step-parents, Edward Allen, and Peggy Bond; brother, Steven Bond; sisters, Angel Allen, Jenny Bond Santeramo, Julie Bond Tilley; and many nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.
A private memorial will be held for immediate family Saturday February 23rd.
Later in the evening we will be having a celebration of life for those who would like to attend at Jeff’s Catering from 7-9.Anyone who would like to come and pay respects, say a few words or share some stories please do! However, please refrain from any religious comments as he had his own personal beliefs. Thank you. Condolences to the family may be expressed at Memorial-Alternatives.com
