Warren Jameson Chatto
HAMPDEN and BROOKLIN - Warren Chatto, 90, died peacefully in a Bangor hospital on June 5, 2018.
He was born in Brooklin, Maine, July 5, 1927, the son of Herman and Mabel (Bridges) Chatto. Warren was a 1945 graduate of Brooklin High School and served in the Army during WWII. He was employed with Darlings as an automotive machinist until retirement. After retirement he was self-employed.
He was a life time member of the VFW, former Mason and member of the Hampden Highlands Methodist Church for over 40 years, where he was one of the original bean hole tenders for the bean hole bean suppers.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He will be remembered as having a big heart and a strong love for family and friends.
He was predeceased by wife Louise. He is survived by his wife Jennie, his daughter Cathy (Chatto) Lawler and her husband Jamie, a son Robert, two granddaughters Christie Hutchinson and Sarah Boynton and three great-grandchildren. Extended family includes a daughter, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A service of celebration for Warren’s life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church, Kennebec Road, Hampden, with the Rev. David Nicol, pastor officiating. A memorial reception will follow in the church Fellowship Hall. A private burial will be held at a later date. Gestures of remembrance may be made to Hampden Highlands United Methodist Church
