BRADLEY – Wallace E. “Wally” Cote, 91, died November 29, 2016, at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born October 30, 1925, in Old Town, the son of Eugene and Roseanna (Baillargeon) Cote.
Wally worked at Old Town Shoe Company for 39 years, and later worked at Diamond International until he retired. He was actively involved in the Old Town Elks Lodge No 1287, for approximately 70 years. He was also a member of the Old Town Knights of Columbus. Wally loved hunting and fishing. He spend many days fishing on Sunkase Meadow. Wally loved watching the Red Sox and Patriots.
In addition to his parents, Wally is predeceased by brothers Robert and George Cote, and a sister, Rita Spiess. Surviving is his wife of more than 70 years, Theresa; sons Ronald Cote and wife Brenda, Peter Cote and wife Bonnie; grandchildren, Julie Coulombe and husband Reg, Wendy Perry and husband John, Heidi Joyce and husband Brian, Travis Cote and wife Danielle, Darcy Hancock and husband Rob; great-grandchildren Drew Coulombe, Olivia Coulombe, Ryan Pery, Jack Joyce, Emma Joyce, Blake Hancock, Britta Hancock; sisters Bernice Curtis and husband Fernald, Theresa Toussaint, Joyce Stallings, Betty Anne Riva and husband Francis, Linda Deschene and husband William, Donna Hersey and husband Al; brothers Donald Cote, Lester Cote and wife Annette, Francis Cote and wife Jeannie; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held 10 AM, Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Ann’s Church, Parish of the Resurrection, 84 Main St., Bradley, with the Rev. Wilfred “Bill” Labbe officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments in the parish hall immediately following the service.
