THOMAS ROWELL
Greenbush – Thomas H. Rowell passed away January 27, 2018 at a Brewer Healthcare Facility after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Bangor July 15, 1947 to parents Melvin and Edith Rowell.Tom worked at various jobs in his lifetime. From working on a farm to washing windows on high rise buildings in Florida and back to a maintenance position at a local hospital. Tom liked playing his guitar and jamming with fellow musicians.
He is survived by his sister, Ethel Sweeny of Greenbush; two nieces, Jeanie Larsen of Old Town and Kelly Cole of Greenbush; a nephew, Chad Cole of Old Town; cousins from Brewer . He will be missed by his special friend and POA, Mary Vaillancourt of Garland; a neighbor, Karen Daigle of Greenbush and her family Justin, Cheyenne and Ralph all of Greenbush. A friend Donna Seward of Exeter. His POA wishes to thank all of his doctors and nurses from EMMC and St. Joseph Hospitals, and all those care givers from various agencies in keeping his wishes to stay home until the end.
There will be a celebration of life Saturday February 10, 2018 at the boat landing in Greenbush, afterwards folks can go to a restaurant in Old Town at their own expense. Mary will notify folks of the time. If so desired for Tom’s love of dogs, a memorial contribution can be made to the Animal Orphanage P.O. Box 565 Orono, ME. 04473.
