HAMPDEN - Susan “Sue” L. Majeau passed away with family by her side at Northern Light on September 21, 2021 after a brief illness. She had just celebrated her 88th birthday. She taught school in Hampden and Portland for many years and always declared that 4th grade was the perfect age. She was a gifted artist and loved music, storytelling, the beauty of nature, and road trips (especially with her grandson Caleb). Two organizations that were a huge part of her life were the Unitarian Church and Memory Joggers.
Sue is survived by her sisters, Becca Lombard, Mercy Beal, Marcia Hastings; children, Marci Gaglione, Trudy Bacon (Jeff), Cedena McAvoy (Terry), Katie Snow (David), Bob Parsons; also her grandchildren, Wynnona, Paul, Nathan, William, Toby, and Caleb; seven great-grandchildren; and one yet to be born great-great grandchild (due in Spring). She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Majeau; son, David Parsons; and grandson, Jesse McAvoy. Through the lives of her loved ones, she will never be forgotten.
Services will be held on Lamoine Beach at11:00 am, October 2, 2021.
