Scott Brian Ludden, 64, passed away on July 23, 2024 at his home in Hartland surrounded by his family, fiance, and beloved cat Tugboat by his side. Scott was known to many as “Lugnut” or “Luggy”.
Scott was born in Worcester MA, on August 23, 1959 with his twin brother Stuart Ludden, to their parents Alma and Ronald Ludden. The family relocated to Maine where Scott attended Pittsfield schools. Scott was the oldest of 4 children.
Scott was a dedicated employee at Cianbro for 32 years, handling a variety of responsibilities, including working as a painter and in transportation. He also spent time working at Ken’s Classics and worked out of state for a while. Scott eventually retired from Cianbro due to health issues.
Scott was a man of many passions. He loved four-wheeling, snowmobiling, NASCAR, gardening, and he cherished spending time with family and friends. Always up for a good time, Scott was happy to enjoy an adult beverage and invite others to join him by the bonfire. Known for his "need for speed," Scott found joy in anything that went fast—the faster it was, the happier he felt. He enjoyed racing and was thrilled to be a part of his brother’s pit crew when racing at Unity Raceway.
Scott was predeceased by his parents, Alma and Ronald Ludden and nephew Ryan. Scott is survived by his loving fiancée, Rose Deraps, her son Joe Deraps, and his daughter, Amanda Ludden. Scott is also survived by his brothers, Stuart Ludden and his wife Diane, Dale Ludden and his wife Les, as well as his sister, Bambi Ames, and her husband Bruce. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Mya, and Ashlynne, and his nieces and nephews, Crystal, Brandon, Jeff, Kevin, along with their families.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Scott’s hospice nurse, Breanna, for her exceptional care and for bringing a bright spot to some of our most difficult days.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
