Scott C. Browne, 93, of Hampden, Maine, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025. He was born on August 5, 1931, in Oakfield, Maine, the son of Albert and Almeda (Carr) Browne.

Scott graduated from Presque Isle public schools and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, stationed in Alaska where he worked in weather operations. After his military service, he began a distinguished 20-year career with the Maine State Police, retiring as a Sergeant in 1976. He later worked as a bank manager in Bangor for 12 years.

Scott was deeply devoted to his family and took great joy in their lives and accomplishments. Scott is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Janice (Borden) Browne; his three children: Mark Browne and his wife Carolyn of North Grafton, MA; Peter Browne of Westfield, MA; and Lynne Brody and her husband Matthew of Lincoln, RI.

He was a proud grandfather to Scott Browne (Mariola Podpora) of Millbury, MA; Laura Browne (Chris Fortier) of Dublin, NH; Eric Browne (Kelly Burstall) of Tiverton, RI; and Lilly Brody of Lincoln, RI.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Scott's caregiver, Lynda Garnett, and other caregivers whose support was invaluable.

In accordance with Scott's wishes, there will be no formal services. A private graveside service may be held at a later date.
