Ruth A. Bracy, 93 and 4 months old, died unexpectedly January 20, 2024, at a Bangor hospital. She was born October 28,1930, in Winn ME, the daughter of Herbert Grant and Ella Perkins.
Ruth Bracy passed away on January 20, 2024, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by family and loved ones.
Ruth was a loving mother, wife and homemaker, who lived in Bar Harbor and Bangor with her Husband Karl for many years as they raised their 3 children. She enjoyed cooking and at 92 she was still making homemade banana bread and mac and cheese which was amazing. Ruth loved to read a good book and watch CNN, Ruth loved to spend time with her loved ones and visited from the fur babies.
Ruth spent her past few years with her second family enjoying BBQ’s, holidays, many long shopping trips and going out to dinner. Ruth enjoyed living her life to the fullest every day and was always smiling.
Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband Karl Bracy, her daughter Joann Smith and her son Michael Bracy. She is survived by son Bob Bracy.
Mama Ruthie (lovingly known by the Whitney family) will be greatly missed by Kathy, Gloria, Bob, Robbie, Barbara, Eric, Heather, Stephenie and Nicholas
There will be a private celebration of her life in the spring to honor her wishes.
