Roger Cole

August 28, 1959 — June 10, 2015

BANGOR, PASSADUMKEAG, AND MILFORD - Roger Carlton Cole Sr., 55, died on June 10, 2015, at home with his wife and children by his side after a long and strong fought battle with complications from Type 1 diabetes.

Roger was a long time employee of the Passadumkeag Mill until its closing. He then worked at Penobscot Valley Country Club until its sale and then worked at both the Orono and Newport School Districts. Roger was an avid sports fan, as he would always be watching the Patriots or baseball, however Nascar was his favorite. Roger loved his family very much and was extremely proud of all his children and grandchildren.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann; son Roger Carlton Cole Jr. and his wife Cheri of GA; daughter, Amanda Burton and her husband Todd of Newport; step-daughter, Heather Wheaton and her husband Lance of Glenburn; step-son, Nicholas Poirier and his wife Jennifer of FL; 4 grandsons; Jordan, Jacoby, Allen and Aidan; 2 granddaughters, Skyler and Chloe; mother, Patricia Cole; sisters Beth Smart and her husband Patrick; Sheri Smart and her partner Jim; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Roger is predeceased by his loving grandparents Roger and Gertrude Tourtillote who he lived with for many years.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Pine Grove Remembrance Center, 1347 Hammond St., Bangor, with the Rev. Steven Smith, officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.Memorial-Alternatives.com.
