Robert Anthony Henrique, 71 passed away on October 5, 2016 in Bangor with his family by his side. He was born in St. Stephen New Brunswick on October 20, 1944 to Corrine (Camick) Henrique Wentworth and Robert A. Henrique.
Robert grew up in Eastport and graduated from Shead Memorial High School, Class of 1963. He went to B & B Barber School and then spent 36 years in Eastport, Maine and 5 years in Port Charlotte, Florida working as a self-employed Barber. After he retired he continued working part time doing various jobs. He married Mary (Adams) Henrique and in September celebrated 20 years of marriage. Together they lived in Punta Gorda, Florida for 13 years before moving to Bangor. Robert loved the warm Florida weather. Robert was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Past Chancellor Commander of the Knights of Phythias.
Robert enjoyed family time during the summer months at “The Cottage” in Pembroke Maine.
Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Mary of Bangor; children, Robert “Tony” Henrique of Eastport, Stephen Henrique I and his wife Angela of Pembroke, Stacie Curtis and her fiancé Bruce Hatton of Pembroke, Carrie Beyeler and her husband John of Bangor; grandchildren, Stephen Henrique II, Courtney Sullivan and husband Kristopher, Ethan and Paige Beyeler; great-granddaughter Peyton Louise Sullivan who always brought a smile to his face; brother, John Wentworth of Princeton; sisters, Gail Matthews and husband Michael of Orlando, Florida, Laurel Roach and husband Scott of Bangor; brother’s-in-law, Richard Adams and wife Dora of Dennysville, Danny Adams and wife Rose of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law Louise Leighton of Zephyrhills, Florida; many nieces, nephews, and his extended family Allen and Mary Ann Suddy of Bangor. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by a step-father, Phil Wentworth.
Graveside funeral services will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Restlawn Cemetery, Perry, ME. The family invites relatives and friends to share in a celebration of life gathering at the Eastport Youth Center, County Road, Eastport, following the service at 1:30 PM.
