Robert .A. Gentile Jr - Lincoln, Maine - Robert A. Gentile Jr, 53, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2025, at Northern Lights Hospital in Bangor Maine. Robert was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, husband, and over all friend. Robert was born on November 8th 1971, in Waltham Massachusetts. Robert attended Minuteman Tech in Lexington Massachusetts where he graduated in 1990 majoring in Culinary Arts. Robert then served in the United States Army 1992 where he earned his Sharpshooter Marksman Ribbon. Robert lived his life up and down the east coast, from MA, VA, and ME where he decided to settle down. Robert became friends with many people. He was always joyful, caring, funny, fearless and motivational. Robert worked as a residential advisor at Job Corps, where he changed a lot of lives of the kids who attended. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Gentile Sr, and his mother, Annmarie Cusano Snelling. Robert leaves behind his wife Melinda, his sons, Joseph Channell, Jaylen Gentile, and Logan Gentile, as well as his many step children., his sister Annemarie Willey, nephew John Hatt, his three grandchildren: Violet Channell, Audyn Channell, and Elora Gentile. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his closest friends, Brent and Sarah Theriault. Robert was loved by so many and he gave many love in return. Robert loved to go on vacations, shooting his guns, hunting, fishing, listening to his music, sitting around the camp fire, cooking, baking, and talking about the future.

A service and Celebration of Life will be held on Jan 25th, 2025 at the American Legion in Augusta, Maine from 12pm-to 4pm. Burial will take place in the spring. Please feel free to bring food, pictures, flowers and stories if you wish!
