BANGOR - Richard A. Ellis, 77, went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He was born on March 14, 1942 in Milo, the son of Arno L. and Ruth (Davis) Ellis.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jaqueline A. Ellis; sons, John Patrick Ellis, and Steven J. Ellis of Bangor; daughter, Kathleen (Rioux) Day and her husband, Eric of Bangor; two granddaughters, Maj. Samantha J. Sproul and her husband, Jarred of Brewer, and Jessica R. Fraser and her husband, Ian of Brewer; four great-grandchildren, Lilian and Abigail Sproul, and Jack and Hannah Fraser. He will be deeply missed by many, especially his companion, “brown-eyed Nevada girl”, Cha Cha. Upon Richard’s request, there will be no services. Those who wish to remember Richard in a special way may volunteer at their local Veterans’ Home. Condolences to the family may be expressed at Memorial-Alternatives.com
