Patricia M. (Dorr) Overlock, 85, passed away on December 13, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 16, 1938, in Castine, the daughter of Grover and Arlene (Richardson) Dorr.
Patricia Grew up in Hermon and attended Hermon schools. She worked at the Penobscot County Jail for 16 years as a corrections officer and Corporal before retiring. She then went to work for the Coach House Restaurant before her second retirement.
Patricia was married to Beverly Overlock for 63 years who passed away in 2019. She is survived by children; Sherri Bragg of Hermon, Clay Overlock and wife Kimberly of Ft. Meyers, FL, and Denise Overlock of Hermon; four grandchildren, Patricia Morse and husband Jason, Ashley Satterfield and husband Jimmy, Cory Overlock and Jeffrey Overlock; four great-grandchildren, McKayla Philbrook, Destiny, Jeffrey III and Harmony Overlock; a special great-great granddaughter, Ava Leigh Taylor; a sister Muriel Moyers and husband Gene; sisters-in-law, Brenda Richardson and Sandra Dorr; many nieces and nephews, and special cousins; and best friend, Elaine. In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was predeceased by three brothers, Alan Dorr, Barrie and Timothy Richardson; two sisters, Gail Doughty and Susan Braley, and a special brother-in-law Lewis Doughty. The family would like to express a special thanks to the 6th Floor nurses and CNA’s as well as Northern Light Hospice for all their care.
By Patricia’s request, there will be a private graveside service at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon, only for family and invited friends in the spring. Gifts in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Condolences to the family may be expressed at SimpleCremationof Maine.com.
