Norman Call

LEVANT – Norman Lambert Call, 82, passed away May 15, 2022, at his home. He was born June 8, 1939, in Bangor, the only son of Elmer W. and Evelyn L. (Leary) Call.

Norman was a lifelong resident of Levant. In his younger days, he plowed snow for the town and also was a dump truck driver, and roadside mower for the Maine DOT. He loved cutting wood with his horses and did tractor work on the family farm until his illness prevented him in 2021. Norman was an avid horseman, attending and participating in horse-pulls at the local fairs.

Norman is survived by his children, Ricky Call and his partner, Gloria Jackson, Brian Call and his wife, Joan (Gibson), all of Levant, Amanda Nason and her husband, Wayne, of Kenduskeag; longtime companion, Betty Fraymen, of Levant; ex-wife, Margaret Call, of Bangor, sister, Joyce Epstein, of Tariffville, Connecticut; five granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; seven nieces; and two nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Violet Pease, Genevieve Goodwin, and Virginia Hilton.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Waugh Cemetery, Levant.
