Pittsfield - Melvin ‘Vinny’ J. Thayer, 61, passed away on August 5, 2024, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor Maine. Vinny was born in Utica, New York on March 9, 1963. Throughout his life, he has lived in New York, Texas, Missouri, New Hampshire, and most recently and for the longest part of his life in Pittsfield Maine.
He leaves behind his loving wife Amy M. Thayer; his daughter Aimee-Jo Thayer; Stepchildren Jeanna Palmer and her husband Jayson; and Anthony Smith. He also leaves behind many siblings. Laura Thayer; Warren Mickel and his wife Peggy; Joe Laskowski; Jennifer Laskowski; Bonnie Thayer Martin and her husband Scott; Rosie Thayer Hardy and her husband Reggie.
Vinny is predeceased by his parents Melvin Thayer and Dora Davis Ward, and siblings Melvin Thayer II; Judy Ann Thayer; Walter Thayer; Micheal Scott Thayer; and Christorpher Thayer.
