Melvena Manza

October 7, 1941 — June 18, 2017

Melvena Josephine (Seamans) Manza, 75, died peacefully surrounded by family, after a brief illness. She was born October 7, 1941, in Princeton, the daughter of Dexter and Laura (Day) Seamans.

Melvena graduated from Princeton High School, Class of 1959. Following graduation, she attended nursing school in Bangor. Melvena enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting, fishing, and spending time at camp. She also enjoyed dining out, and spending time at the beach whenever time allowed. Melvena was a member of the Rebekah’s lodge in Baileyville for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, Melvena was predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Manza; and a son, Michael J. Manza. Surviving are a daughter, Laurie Lewis and husband William; a son, Ralph Manza; grandchildren, Justin Andrews, Christopher Philbrick, Nicholas Lewis, Jocelyn Manza, and Samuel Donovan; two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Cassidy Andrews; a sister, Priscilla Seamans; and special friends, Kathy and Becky.

A memorial service will be held at a date, time, and location to be announced.
