DOVER-FOXCROFT – Melissa Mae Raymond (Richards), 51, passed away peacefully September 30, 2019. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born June 11, 1968, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Carroll L. and Aseneath M. (Badger) Richards.
Melissa attended schools in the Dover-Foxcroft area. She worked various jobs early in her life, but she truly enjoyed caring for horses while working on a local horse farm. Melissa enjoyed browsing thrift shops for costume jewelry. She also enjoyed road trips with her family, especially to the ocean with her grandkids. Melissa always loved dressing up for holidays, especially Halloween. She absolutely loved the color purple. Melissa collected many knickknacks of angels and porcelain dolls. She had a huge heart, taking in many rescue animals throughout her lifetime. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a nephew, Andy Richards. She is survived by a daughter, Kristine L’Heureux and husband, Jason, a son, Steven Lee Berry, and a daughter, Heather Rotharmel and husband, Alvin; grandchildren, Kal-El, Lyla, and many other grandchildren; sisters, Doris Murry, Cathy Raymond; a brother, Wayne Richards; a good friend, Pauline White; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Christ Church of Faith, 2274 Bennoch Road, Old Town. Condolences to the family to the family may be expressed at Memorial-Alternatives.com
