Joshua Neagle

February 8, 1985 — October 16, 2014

Joshua J. Neagle, 29, walked into the loving arms of his Savior on October 16, 2014 after a fierce and faith-filled battle with brain cancer. He was born on February 8, 1985 in Boston, MA to James and Dawn (Guay) Neagle.

Joshua graduated from Oak Hill High School in Wales, Class of 2003. Following graduation, he moved to Bangor where he met his “Sweetie” and love, Lindsay (McKeen) Neagle. They married ten months later and celebrated nine years of marriage in September. Joshua began his career in the plumbing and heating industry. Following his diagnosis in 2010, he was inspired to pursue a career of compassionately serving others in the medical field. He was working towards his degree in Medical Radiography at Eastern Maine Community College where he was a student leader and member of Phi Theta Kappa. In addition to his wife and family, Joshua had a very large faith family at The Rock Church in Bangor, where he served as a licensed pastor in various capacities throughout the years.

Joshua blessed everyone around him with his energetic spirit, bright smile, and compassionate nature. His most important relationship was with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He possessed a tenacious faith, and throughout the past four years he unwaveringly believed God through every trial. His most heartfelt desire was that all of his family and friends would know His Faithful Father and would one day join him in eternity in God’s presence. Joshua truly fought the good fight, finished the race, and remained faithful (2 Tim 4:7).

In addition to his wife, Joshua is survived by his maternal grandparents, Donald “Pepere” and Virginia “Nana” Guay of Peabody, MA, who were like faithful parents to him; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Neagle of Malden, MA; his much-loved father and mother in law, Jim and Lori McKeen of Bangor; his brother and sister in law, James and Briana Neagle and two nephews, Noah and Colton of Fort Lewis, WA; another brother and sister in law, Jacob and Alexandra Neagle of Sarasota, FL; and a sister, Jaime-Dawn Neagle of Advance, NC, as well multiple special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Joshua’s life on Thursday October 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Rock Church, 1195 Ohio Street, Bangor, Maine with Pastor Kirk Winters officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.Memorial-Alternatives.com.
