BANGOR - John 'Jack' Lodge, Sr., 89, of Bangor, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 1, 2017. He was born on Jan. 12, 1928, in Lawrence, MA, the son of Mary (Kern) Lodge and A. Milton Lodge.
He graduated from Searles High School in Methuen, MA, and enlisted in the United States Navy. He was veteran of World War II.
He married Pauline 'Polly' Lodge, and was employed by the FAA, from which he retired in 1989.
Jack was devoted to his wife, Polly, and enjoyed puttering around the house and woodworking. He will be remembered for his humorous stories.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Alfred Lodge, and his sister, Eleanor Crompton, as well as his previous wives, Betty (Child) Lodge, and Caroline (Cyr) Lodge, and his grandchildren, William Boyle and Sarah Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Polly; his children, Susan Hicks, John Lodge Jr., Kelly Shorey, Sandra Liles, Cathy Russell, and grandchildren, Betty, Katie, Jessica, Jennifer, Nathan, Erika, Alexandra, Torey, Ronda, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held for the family.
