Joanne is survived by her brother, Robert Cobb, and sister-in-law Nancy. Joanne had six children: a son Albin and daughters Valerie, Victoria, Vanessa, Veronica, and Virginia. (Along with her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.) She devoted her life to her family but also loved working at City Hall with all the great people there. She traveled extensively with the “Golden Girls”: Beverly Joy, Betty Ann Cobb, and Rita Fahey. Joanne also loved going to Monhegan Island with local artists.

She exhibited her artwork at the local libraries, the Senior Center, City Hall, and the Rock and Art Shop. Joanne thoroughly enjoyed her art class on Thursday afternoons at the Senior Center with all her fantastic friends.

You are welcome to attend a “Celebration” of Joanne’s life at her daughter Vanessa’s home at 195 Stillwater Ave., in Orono, from 12 to 2 PM on Saturday, November 16th. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to make a donation in her name to the Bangor Public Library or the Bangor Art Society. There will be a graveside service for family only in the spring. The family would like to thank our special friend Karen Sanborn, Northern Lights Hospital for their kindness and support, Beacon Hospice for all their care these past years, and the wonderful people at The Meadows in Old Town.
