James E. Winn, 65, passed away peacefully August 11, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born May 1, 1953 in Bangor, the son of Otto O. and Mildred V. (Clewley) Winn.
James graduated from the University of Maine, Class of 2005, earning a degree in Mental Health and Social Services. He worked in this career for over a decade, thoroughly enjoying his job, but more importantly enjoying serving the community in which he served. James recognized for his admirable work by Senator Susan Collins and Michael Michaud. James was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine Winn, a second wife, Lois Marong-Winn; a sister, Nancy York. Surviving are a daughter, Angelica Winn and Brook Kenny; sons, Gabriel Winn, Keith Winn; grandchildren, Carly, Dalton; brother, Donny Winn; a special niece, Lisa, sisters, Ruth and Linda; a special friend, Debra Brown.
A memorial service will be held 1 pm. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Columbia St. Baptist Church, 63 Columbia St., Bangor. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, State St., Bangor immediately following the service.
