Elizabeth S. “Betty” Chase, 85, died after a short illness February 7, 2018, at a Brewer nursing home. She was born August 24, 1932 in Bangor, The daughter of James J. and Mary (Crossman) Stewart.
Betty attended the Bangor Catholic school system (St. Johns and John Bapst) and graduated from Bangor High.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her Husband of 29 years, Raymond L. Chase, and two sons, Richard G. Russell II and James O. Russell. Surviving is her four Daughters, Roxanna E. (Russell) Jordan of Waltham, Suretta M. “Tina” (Russell) Murphy, of Bangor, Mary S. (Russell) Shelley of Hermon, and Roberta E. “Bobbi” (Russell) Carpenter of Bangor. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of Betty’s life on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 3 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 65 So. Park St, Bangor. Interment will be at the Mt Hope Cemetery in the spring.
