Glenburn – Duane Raymond Fox, 77, who honorably served in the U.S. Air Force, passed away peacefully August 8, 2020, at home with his loving wife, Kathy and son, Joshua, by his side. He was born December 17, 1942, in Bangor, the son of Alfred and Arlene Fox.
Duane was a very well-known singer in Maine, across the country, and into Canada. Above all Duane loved being a foster parent to many special needs children.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathy, are his sons, Joshua, Jason Stewart and wife, Kris, of Bangor, Erik Voogd and wife, Paula, of Michigan, Scott Hamel and wife, Wendy, of USVI, Kevin Hamel, of Bangor, David Hamel and wife, Sherry, of Dedham; daughters, Lisa Gallant, of Bangor, and Michelle Pyle, of Indiana; brother, Nick Fox and his wife, Dolores, of Holden; sister, Dolly and her husband, Bob, of Dover-Foxcroft. Duane is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Luke and Logan Gallant, Grayden and Madaline Voogd, Rochelle Campbell and husband, Michael and their children, Nadaleigh, Nathan, and Gavin, Mattea Hamel and her fiancé, Brian Peirre, and daughter, Castine, Collin Hamel and his partner, Matt Hanley II, Morgan Baker-Giles and her partner, Nick, Aaron Hamel, Brandon and Alex Parker, James Pyle, Riley, Kayla and Grace Hamel, Madi and Jordyn Miller; several nieces, Lori Fowler and husband, Mike, Kim Mayo, Cheri Briggs and husband, Jon, of Glenburn, Karen Durgin and her husband, Mike, Robin Graves; one nephew, Jeff Graves and his wife, Michelle.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Alex.
Duane will be dearly missed by friends, Mark Worcester, Bob Rosati, Rita, “and Teddy Bear too.”
