Dorothy Pooler

February 11, 1956 — May 30, 2020

GILFORD - Dorothy Ann “Dottie” Pooler, 64, passed peacefully on Saturday May 30, 2020 at 2:16 p.m. surrounded by her family at her eldest son’s house in Orono after a long illness.

She enjoyed going for long rides in the country and watching wildlife. She had a great love for Country music and would dance and sing for hours. Spending time with family is what she enjoyed the most and just making people happy.

Dottie's greatest attribute was the ability to love anyone deeply and unconditionally no matter who they were. Anyone and everyone who walked through her door knew they were loved and were part of her family. She has taken people into her home that were once strangers and just needed a second chance and they became part of her family. Everyone knew they were loved. She insured that everyone was happy, warm, safe, and fed, no matter what. She put everyone else's needs before her own.

She will always be remembered for her gigantic heart, her goofy faces and her own language she created over the years. Thank you so much for the many memories that we will last forever.

She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene J., Sr. and Mary E. (Robbins) Roy of Greenville.

She is survived by her boyfriend, F.F. Peter Herring; son, Dennis Farnham and wife, Diedra of Orono; daughter, Christina Thayer and husband, Bernie of Hermon; son, Eugene Farnham and wife, Jennifer of Sangerville; daughter, Danielle Rackliff and husband ,Jason of Old Town; brother, Gene Roy and wife, Peggy of Florida; sister, Patty Ferland and husband, Durward of Greenville; sister, Mary Desjardins and significant other, Clayton; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Alyssa, Rachael, Joey, Ben, Calabe, Durward, David, Crystal and Kyle; grandchildren, Dennis, Alexis, Cody, Jacob, Dom, Donte', Dylan, Kayla, Destiny, Wyatt, Cameron, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Lola, Luna, Phoebe; special friend, James Cole of Guilford, as well as many other friends; including her Dog, Sunday; and her two cats, Peanut and Buttercup.
