Dolores Graves

November 7, 1948 — July 6, 2017

Dolores “Dolly” Anne (Parent) Graves, 68, died peacefully, July 6, 2017 with friends and family by her side. She was born November 7, 1948, in Milo, the daughter of Perley A. Parent and Velma H. (Robinson) Richardson.

Dolores was a graduate of Old Town High School, Class of “1967”. She completed her nursing certificate through Eastern Maine General Hospital and went on to receive her vocational training in bookkeeping and administration. Her tenure at E.M.M.C and Bangor Rehabilitation extended over 20 years until her retirement.
Dolores was united in marriage to Albert C. Graves in May of 1974, they made their home in Orrington. Albert predeceased her in September of 1991, they were married for 17 years.

She enjoyed baking, movies, concerts, traveling, shopping and spending time with family and friends. Dolores loved cats and had a special bond with her constant companion, Molly. She had a heart of gold and shared her unconditional love with every life she touched.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Dolores was predeceased by her sister, Theresa (Parent) Michaud and her nephew, Jamie L. Booker.

She is survived by her brothers, Perley Parent and his wife, Sonya, Alfred Parent, James Parent and his wife, Linda, Francis Parent and his wife, Elsie; sisters, Susan MacDonald, Michele Richens, and Marlene Booker; step- daughter, Gayle M. McDermott and her husband, Bryan; step-sons, William Graves, Michael Graves and his wife, Mary; step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including a special niece, Shelley (MacDonald) Broughton.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at a time and place to be determined.

I want to thank everyone for their support through this difficult time. My mom was my foundation, friend, and mentor. She loved unconditionally, laughed freely, and shared whole heartily.
