January 21, 1936 — September 20, 2021

Stetson- On September 20, 2021 at 10:36pm, Dewey Lawrence Stewart Sr. left this earth and walked into the arms of Jesus. He was born January 20, 1936, in Lewis County, WV, the son of Albert Dewey Stewart and Madge Elizabeth (Starcher) Stewart.

When Dewey entered heaven on September 20, he was reunited with his loving wife of 47 years, Nellie Stewart. He loved his Lord and he loved his family. Dewey began most mornings in the Word of God. His Bible was well worn from studying the scriptures. Dewey was a quiet man, but he was always ready with a joke or two. Dewey was an exterminator by trade, but his true passion was gunsmithing. He spent many hours refinishing rifle and shotgun stocks in his little basement shop at the farmhouse. He enjoyed working part time at the local gun shop, Ross Brothers in Uniontown, Pa. Dewey was an avid hunter and black powder shooter and he loved being surrounded by nature.
