Deborah "Debbie" L. McCullough, 64, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Bangor, Maine. Born on July 20, 1960, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, Debbie was a cherished figure in her community and among her family.
Debbie was a gifted individual, well-known for her melodious voice, often gracing the stage at Caps in Brewer on weekends. Her career was as diverse as her talents; she worked at Penquis, McCue Law, and Brookings Smith, and even enjoyed serving at Caps. Debbie's academic journey led her to earn an Associate's degree in billing and coding from Beals College, where she later imparted her knowledge as a teacher.
Beyond her professional life, Debbie was the heart of her family. She revitalized the McCullough family reunions, emphasizing the importance of family ties and shared histories. Her home was a hub of creativity, where she crafted unique wreaths and taught others the art as well. She also loved to sing in her cousin, Guy McCullough's, band during his annual August birthday party.
Debbie is survived by her son, Rusty McCullough; daughter, Felicia Rambo and her husband, Jon; grandchildren, Carmen Hincks and Roman and Jerrick Rambo; siblings, Carol McCullough, Kim Sibley and her husband John, Lori Jackson, David McCullough and his wife Becky, and Mike McCullough; along with many nieces, nephews, and her beloved fur baby, Moses. She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Joyce C. McCullough.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Corinthian Cemetery in Corinth. Brookings Smith Funeral Home of Bangor, ME, is assisting the family with arrangements. Debbie's life and legacy will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the profound impact she had on those around her.
