CLYDE D. STORMANN JR.
CARMEL – Clyde D. “Pater” Stormann Jr., 70, died April 21, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 26, 1945 in Old Town, the son of Clyde Stormann Sr. and Dorothy (Hutchinson) Coiley.
Clyde attended schools in Old Town. Early in life, he began working at Old Town Shoe Company and then later worked for Striar Textiles in Orono as a millworker for over thirty years. Clyde was very much a family man who loved his family dearly. He had a special nickname for all of his grandchildren. Clyde enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed tinkering with motors and gardening.
Clyde was predeceased by his father, Clyde D. Stormann Sr.; mother, Dorothy (Hutchinson) Coiley; and step-father Charlie Coiley Sr. He was also predeceased by brothers, Harvey Stormann Sr., Charlie Coiley Jr.; in-laws, James and Eleanor Dunton; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Oliver, Fred Savoy, and James Dunton Jr; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Stormann. Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife of 38 years, Sandra (Dunton) Stormann, are a son, Leslie Stormann and Sharon Rivers of Milford; daughters, Lisa Stormann and J.B. Solomon of Hermon, and Laura Phinney of Carmel; sisters, Alfreda Savoy of Bradley, and Helen Oliver of Milford; brother-in-law, Harry Dunton and wife Mary of Carmel; sister-in-law, Carol Dunton of Carmel; grandchildren, Nicholas and Noel Stormann of Milford, and Randi Platt of Carmel; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, J.R. Salls.
In keeping with Clyde’s wishes, services will be private.
