Claudette Mower

October 24, 1941 — January 24, 2025

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a wife, a mother, a daughter, a Meme, a sister, an aunt, and a friend following a series of illnesses, on January 24, 2025. She was born in Hudson to Pearly and Doris Mathison. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Bangor High School, and married Harold E. Mower, the love of her life and partner of 60 years. For most of her life, she was employed by the Dexter School system and retired to help raise and nurture her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time and playing cards with friends and family, reading, watching her grandchildren at games, and was an avid quilter. All those who were close to her received a beautiful quilt. She enjoyed many summers at Jenkins Beach on Green Lake with her family and often traveled out West to see her sister.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, daughter Lori, parents, and brother. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn and her husband, Al, "Maine" sister Betty Taylor, her daughters, Beverly and her husband David Belcher, Holly and her husband Kyle Murdock, and her "adopted" son Robert Simmons; her grandchildren Robbie Whitney, Marissa and her husband Andrew Murray, Emily and her husband Dylan Andrews, Mathison Deering, Chloe Murdock, and "adopted" grandchildren Jessica and Jude, and beloved poodle, Lily; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Dexter Sunshine Club ℅ Secretary Donna Hodgkins. 327, Charleston Rd. Dexter, ME 04930
