CARMEL – Catherine E. “Cathy” Ames, 74, passed away peacefully February 12, 2024, at her home, after a long illness. She was born November 12, 1949, in Bangor, the daughter of Chester and Clara Althea (Andrews) Watters.
Cathy worked many jobs in her lifetime; Cap Morrills, American Felt, both in Brewer, but the one that she was most proud of was working and being a co-owner of “The Dairy Joy”, with the love of her life, Charles Ames.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Christine Lilly and her husband, Jason and Bridgette Walker and her fiancé, Clarence; grandchildren, Amber and Lexi Reed and Cody and Alyssa Walker, which she adored. She is also survived by her siblings, Chester Watters and his wife, MaryAnn, Debbie Daigle and her husband, Louie, Richard Watters and his wife, Peggy, and Danny waters and his wife, Sharon.
A Celebration of Cathy’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 930 Main St., Corinth. Condolences may be expressed at SimpleCremationofMaine.com.
