Brenda Harvey

July 21, 1963 — January 19, 2025

Brenda Harvey (Bourgoin), 61, died unexpectedly January 19, 2025, at home. She was born on July 21, 1963 in Fort Kent, the daughter of Anne Marie Weaver (Saucier) and Randolph Bourgoin Jr.

Brenda graduated from Central High School, Class of 1981. She married her husband, Brian Harvey, and has spent the past 45 years building a beautiful life and family together. She went to Pierre's School of Cosmetology in the early 2000s and worked as a cook in her brother's restaurant in Dexter for many years before staying home to finish raising her family. For the past decade, she has supported Brian in running Mount Desert Island Oysters. She most loved spending time with many friends and family, skiing, snowshoeing, rollerblading, and kayaking. Her biggest passion was gardening and tending to her houseplants. She was an excellent cook and baker, always making and growing enough food to share with everyone.

Brenda is survived by her father Randolph Bourgoin Jr.; husband Brian Harvey; daughter Jessica Harvey and her partner Sean, of Westbrook; son Carl Harvey and his fiancée Jessie Hardwick, of Glenburn; Brian's son Patrick Allen and his wife Erica and their daughter Emerson, of Bangor; sisters Karen Bourgoin of South Paris and Debra Bourgoin of Glenburn; brother Glenn Bourgoin and his wife Danielle, of Sebec; brother Wayne Bourgoin and his partner Wren, of Charleston; nieces Tiffany, Hilary, Kacy, Kylie, Jody, and Jamy; nephews Tyler, Joseph, Mason, Ethan, Jakob, Benjamin, AJ, and Ryan; and grandnephews Waylon and Easton. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne Marie Weaver.

Relatives and friends are invited to share refreshments and stories at her celebration of life, which will be held at Brenda and Brian's private residence in Glenburn on Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, May 18.
