Brandon Wood

July 7, 1982 — April 11, 2020

Brandon Alan Wood, July 7th 1982 – April 11th 2020.

If you knew Brandon, you know we won’t be sticking to the rules of how to write an obituary. Brandon passed away Saturday afternoon at home with his love Sheena and fur-boy Bic.

Brandon loved his family, both sides and the middle, and found his roots and safety on the farm of his grandparents, Edward and Sharma Wood. He kept us loving him always, and worrying about him often; but his love and contagious laugh reminded us he was always okay at his core.

Brandon never cared where you came from or how much you had, he just loved you. He had a huge heart, and always told Nanny he was sorry for saying the “F” word. He loved new sneakers, and anything Tommy Hilfiger. He loved food, family, and shocking us with his inappropriate sense of humor! His adventures and antics will now be the stories we hold closest to our hearts.

We have borrowed a line or two from Steve Jobs:
“Material things can be lost or stolen, found or replaced. Treasure love for your family and friends.
Realize that a $3,000 watch and a $30 watch both tell the same time.
Whether you fly first class or economy, if the plane goes down, you go down with it.”

We love you to the moon and stars. We will remember you and that too-loud laugh of yours forever. Look to your family and friends that went before you. And for Nanny Wood, “always use your Jesus heart”.

Brandon is survived by longtime partner, Sheena Carter; his mom, Mindy Wood; his dad, Jed Wood; grandparents, Edward and Sharma Wood; grandmother, Eva; his siblings, Emily, Raquel, Damien, and like-a-brother, Chris Wilson; his children, Dylan and Maura, and a new granddaughter, Cheyenne; Auntie Tracy and her children; Uncles, Mike and Mark Brown, Auntie Marcie and her son, Justin; nephews and nieces, cousins, and many lifelong friendships.

Due to the current health crisis there is no memorial service at this time.
