Anthony Bellantoni

May 16, 1954 — February 7, 2025

Anthony "Tony" John Bellantoni, age 70, passed away on February 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 16, 1954, in Tucson, Arizona, to Anthony and Lucile Bellantoni, both of whom preceded him in death, Tony was the proud son of Italian immigrants and one of six siblings. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Rose, Joseph, Maria, John, and Tess.

Tony moved to Maine, where he met his wife, Brenda, and later earned an associate degree in computer programming. In Maine, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning 100 acres of land, where he found peace and solace in nature-feeding the birds, gardening, fishing, and enjoying the quiet beauty of the outdoors.

A voracious reader, Tony instilled a love of books in his children, often reading to them when they were young and encouraging a lifelong passion for reading. He was also a skilled craftsman, taking great pride in remodeling his family's home with his own hands, transforming it into a place full of love and care.

Tony leaves behind his three children: Lydia Murphy and her husband, Bryan; Miranda; and Dominic Bellantoni. He is also survived by his two beloved grandchildren, Jack and Scarlett, who brought him much joy.

Throughout his life, Tony was known for his deep love for his family, as well as his love of nature and the simple pleasures it offered. His family and friends will forever remember him for his passion, determination, and unwavering faith.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Tony's memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Chestnut Foundation, a cause Tony cherished deeply.
